Resin pathway in new display area

The team have been laying the new resin pathway in the new show area at Colourchange / Suffolk Conservatory

If you are looking to have a new resin drive or resin patio the display area gives you a much better idea of the finished appearance making it easier to pick the perfect colour for you.

First the team edged the area with bricks and then compacted some hardcore to form a solid subbase.

Some edging strips were added ready for the next phase where we will create another resin pathway.

Next we added a thick membrane to protect from and weeds. Seeds may have been present in the base soil and type 1 used for the subbase!

On top of this matting we added further sheets of matting designed to strengthen the resin and stone path mix - this also helps to prevent any cracking should there be any ground movement below the resin.

The resin bound stone mix is then laid. The porus nature of the resin and the sub base means that the path will not have any pools of water, rain will just pass through. As a show area for the conservatories this is particulalry important, especially in winter, the last thing we want to see on a pathway is icy puddles!
